MD Orders and Certification

MD Orders create a comprehensive document that includes client medications, allergies, diagnoses, services, etc...  for physicians to review and certify with a signature. Requirements for physician review/certification can vary by state.  Minnesota, for instance, requires review and re-certification at least annually. Therefore, nurses may opt to create and send them at least annually-- but in actuality, they may choose to  send a new MD order after a lengthy hospitalization, client change of condition, or if they want to ensure facility records are in line with the physician's clinic records.

Residex: Referrals

  • Current Medications
  • Allergies
  • Pertinent details regarding the appointment

If the campus configuration option: Create appointment reminder when referral is saved is set to "Yes" you will be prompted to add an appointment reminder service when the referral is saved.

Flow Sheets

Flow Sheets are a useful tool to paper-chart needed information such as hourly outputs, housekeeping tasks, or other details. ResiDex makes generating custom flow sheets simple!

MD Orders: Notifications

The ResiDex "MD Order Form"was created to meet the requirement for a physician to certify or re-certify that services for a resident are needed. The physician will authorize the services for a timeframe (typically a year) by signing the MD Order form.  We have created some notifications to assist with maintaining compliance that the certifications are sent on time and the signatures have been received.

ResiDex: Referrals with Appointment Reminder

RTasks Med Entry and Management

If your campus uses Emars and your configurations are set up to allow RTasks Medications you will have the ability to add or edit medications directly from RTasks.  This allows convenient access to update any medication from any device.

The "Medications" option is under the "Residents" tab in RTasks.
