Diagnosis List

The list of diagnoses that appears when you are recording a diagnosis for a resident is completely customizable! You can add new diagnoses, remove diagnoses, or edit spelling and other details.

Edit a diagnosis in the diagnosis list, or see who has a particular diagnosis

You can customize diagnosis details very easily!

  • From the Setup tab, select Meds, Diagnosis, Diet from the menu on the left, then select Diagnosis List from the sub-menu on the right.
  • Find the diagnosis you wish to deactivate by scrolling or typing the first few letters in the search box.
  • You can change the spelling of the diagnosis by just editing the name as it appears in this list; you can change if a diagnosis is recorded as a fall risk in your database by checking / un-checking the relevant boxes, you can deactivate a diagnosis by un-checking the active checkbox (more on this below).
  • You can see which of your residents currently have a particular diagnosis by clicking on the Who button next to it!

Remove an option from the Diagnosis List

If there are options in your Diagnosis list that you don't want to be there, you can deactivate them easily!

  • From the Setup tab, select Meds, Diagnosis, Diet from the menu on the left, then select Diagnosis List from the sub-menu on the right.
  • Find the diagnosis you wish to deactivate by scrolling or typing the first few letters in the search box.
  • To deactivate, uncheck the "Active" checkbox for this diagnoses, and press the Save button at the top of the screen, or just close the this window to save your changes.

If you are trying to deactivate a diagnosis that is already recorded for one or more of your residents, you will be stopped; if you still wish to deactivate this diagnosis, you must remove the records for each of your residents that currently have it. To find out who has this particular diagnosis, click on the "Who" button next to the diagnosis you're trying to remove. You can try to deactivate this diagnosis again after you've removed this diagnosis from your residents.

Add a new option to the Diagnosis List

Note, this can also be done from the resident Diagnoses section of the Resident Profile.

  • From the Setup tab, select Meds, Diagnosis, Diet from the menu on the left, then select Diagnosis List from the sub-menu on the right.
  • Press the New button at the top of the screen (or press Control-N on your keyboard) - a new blank line will appear. Fill in the details for your new diagnosis!
